W grudniu 2012 roku wyruszyła z brazylijskiego miasta Paraty na pokładzie 34-stopowego jachtu żaglowego o aluminiowym kadłubie „Don”. Planowana trasa tej przygody obejmowała opłynięcie Przylądka Dobrej Nadziei, Przylądka Leeuwin i Przylądka Horn przed powrotem do Brazylii. Pimentel wywróciła jednak swój jacht na Oceanie Spokojnym. W rezultacie była zmuszona zmienić trasę i popłynąć na Wyspę Wielkanocną, aby ocenić uszkodzenia konstrukcji jachtu, co przerwało jej próbę zostania pierwszą brazylijską żeglarką, która ukończy samotny rejs dookoła świata bez zawijania do portów. W 2014 roku, kończąc opłynięcie globu, Pimentel została jednak pierwszą Brazylijką i pierwszą kobietą z Ameryki Południowej, która podjęła się takiego wyzwania z postojami.
